The Richmond Hill Board of Trade is looking for a MEMBERSHIP SERVICES COORDINATOR

The Richmond Hill Board of Trade is a not-for-profit organization with a mandate to promote and support local businesses. We offer small businesses an established network as well as the opportunity to learn from colleagues.


The Board of Trade also provides a range of economic benefits, including group rates on health insurance, discounted home and auto insurance, discounts on gasoline, credit card processing fees and much more.


We run more than 60 events each year, providing networking and educational experiences to our members. We also advocate on behalf of the business community with all three levels of government.


We are seeking a Membership Services Coordinator with excellent organizational, writing and people skills. Experience in event organization would be an asset. A second language would be an asset.



Encourage New Members

  • Assess new membership opportunities, meet with potential members and sell memberships to achieve growth targets.

  • Conduct membership meetings every month, create attainable monthly goals.


Retain existing members

  • Evaluate member value and expectations through outreach

  • Develop new opportunities to benefit current members (value-added discounts, events, webinars)

  • Identify and connect businesses that can offer benefits to each other

  • Organize community events


ShopYonge businesses

  • Develop strong relationships with businesses along the Yonge Street Corridor

  • Actively promote Tourism Richmond Hill


Additional Responsibilities

  • Organize and promote Young Professional events

  • Assist in organizing and delivering RHBOT events

  • Work with event staff to develop new communication tools based on feedback from members


The successful applicant will become part of a close-knit, action-oriented team that is focused on delivering excellence. Like all Board of Trade staff, the Membership Services Coordinator will be expected to take part in all events, including those held outside office hours, which include Business@Breakfast and Business After Five events.
