Who We Are
About Us
The Richmond Hill Mentoring Plus Strategy emanated from a total of 21 strategic actions that are currently underway to support an Age-Friendly Richmond Hill that is inclusive, accessible and a welcoming community where all ages and abilities enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle. This initiative is designed to provide volunteering opportunities for age 55+ members of our community to be engaged, encourage civic participation in community life and reduce social isolation.
The Richmond Hill Mentoring Plus Strategy draws upon the knowledge, experience, and skills of the retired and near retired 55+ population to help support individuals and businesses with personal growth, career exploration and economic development through mentoring.

Commitment to Community
Building community engagement at all levels, we recognize that a growing number of seniors/retirees are becoming more engaged within their community and looking for opportunities to give back.
Knowing that our 55+ community members have a vast knowledge-base and in-depth career experience, it is our goal to leverage their expertise to benefit businesses within our community.

Why Mentoring?
Knowledge is Infinite - Share Yours
Mentors are proud of the lifetime of skills, knowledge and experience they have built. Now, they can strengthen our city, impact the future and enrich their life by helping local businesses grow and prosper.
Everyone has a Valuable Role to Play in Our Community
Retirees are a resource for businesses, organizations and our community. When knowledge, skills and experience of this population are included, we all benefit.
Working Together Makes Us Stronger
Everyone has something to contribute. Everyone has value. Communities are stronger when we all work together.
